Time and Place takes a look into the history of some of Philadelphia’s most iconic music venues. Using a timeline as the table of contents, I aim to highlight the history of each venue and show just how long these buildings have been bringing music to the Philadelphia area. I collected imagery like posters, flyers, merch, and signs from each venue –which were scoured online from places like eBay and concert archive websites– and manipulated them to make the collages found on each venues first spread. The venues have a brief historical breakdown and ticket display which follows after the collage. Each venue has a line of merch inspired by the imagery in the book, which you can find at the bottom of this page!
